Emergency Appeal
We are really grateful to the many people who have supported the delivery of support to vulnerable families in Rwanda following our Emergency Appeal in late March. We raised £1,100 in April which enabled much-needed supply of packages of food and other basic needs to 75 family members desperate for help during the period of lockdown in Rwanda. Families dependent on day labour had lost all means of supporting themselves during the period from mid-March to April.
A further £350 has been raised so far in May and need continues, since whilst the lockdown eased on 4 May family incomes of the very poorest are still affected in towns by much-reduced activity in markets and businesses.
You can still donate to our appeal Emergency appeal.
Special thanks to Karen Landi for her tireless work in raising donations from sewing and distributing facemasks!
